Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen has agreed to a four-and-a-half-year deal with Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.

The Dane has been heavily linked with a switch to Antonio Conte’s side this month and, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Spurs are demanding £17.5million for the 27-year-old they paid Ajax £11.5m for in 2013.

Eriksen has refused to sign a new contract in the hope of sealing a move away from Spurs, and the report suggests he has agreed to lower his salary demands from £8.5m to £6.5m to join the Serie A giants this month.

The former Ajax man was booed by some Tottenham supporters when he was substituted during the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool.

And after the final whistle, along with other Tottenham stars, Christian Eriksen went to applaud the club’s supporters and made a beeline for one young fan who appeared to be holding a Danish flag.

The Denmark international has been one of the Lilywhite’s most important players since he joined, scoring 51 goals and adding 62 assists in 223 Premier League appearances.

And recent reports suggest Inter are also interested in signing Manchester United defender Ashley Young.

The Nerazzurri are currently in second in the Serie A standings after 19 games, two points behind Juventus, who defeated Roma 2-1 on Sunday evening.
