Transfer News: Arsenal keep tabs on Umtiti as futures of Mbappe, Neymar at PSG remain in doubt
English Premier League side Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs of Samuel Umtiti’s situation at Barcelona, as they look to strengthen their defence this summer, the Mirror said.
Barca are trying to sign Ajax’s Mattijs de Ligt to add to their capture of Frenkie de Jong, which may open the door for a centre-back to leave the Camp Nou this summer.
It was gathered that the Gunners are targetting a new centre-back this summer.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has failed to rule out the summer exits of star duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
“If you ask me as a coach, yes I want them to be here next season. But if that doesn’t happen, we will find solutions,” the German coach was quoted saying in Le Parisien.
Both Neymar and Mbappe are thought to be long-term targets for Real Madrid.
