Police Council approves Baba as IGP
The Police Council on Friday approved the appointment of former Deputy Inspector-General, Alkali Baba, as the substantive Inspector General Of Police.
Baba’s approval as IGP comes as the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), presides over the Polic Council Meeting at the First Lady’s wing in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
WUZUPNIGERIA reported that Buhari appointed Baba as the Acting IGP two months ago following the exit of former IGP, Mohammed Adamu.
Adamu handed over to Baba on April 7.
Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, confirmed the development to State House correspondents at the end of the meeting.
