Uduak Frank Akpan, suspected murderer of female job seeker, Ini Umoren, has claimed that her death was accidental.
While reiterating that her death was not pre-meditated, Akpan confessed that the deceased slumped after he hit her with a stabilizer.

WuzupNigeria reported the disappearance of Umoren after she got a job invitation via Twitter on April 27th.
The Akwa Ibom job seeker was last seen after she went to honour an appointment with an unnamed interviewer at Ibiaku, Ibiono Ibom area of the state.

She was subsequently found dead on May 2nd, allegedly killed by her potential interviewer, Uduak Frank Akpan, who is currently in police custody.

Akpan announced when he was paraded on Friday by the Akwa Ibom Police Command that he committed the act in self-defence after the deceased charged at him.

During a Facebook Live session, Akpan claimed that the deceased initially agreed to have sex with him.

According to FIJ, shortly before the sex romp commenced, the suspect disclosed that Umoren left him bleeding after she hit him with a stabilizer, an instrument that later turned into the murder weapon.

“I asked her whether she could work in a farm where hard drugs were kept; she said she could. I asked her that I would like to have sex with her before she left. She agreed and gave a condition that I would have to use condom, which I did.

“While I removed the condom, she became furious and removed the nearby stabilizer to hit me on the head… While I was bleeding, in other to stop her, I used the stabilizer to hit her. When I hit her, she fell.”

Akpan revealed that he had violently abused five other ladies but Umoren was the first victim who died after the encounter.

Meanwhile, Akpan’s father who was arrested during the search for his son claimed that he “wasn’t aware” of his son’s evil act.

Speaking during the parade, the old man decried that he was “not happy about it” either.

“I was asked to call him and I called him back. When he arrived, I was allowed to interact with him. He told me he did something wrong and that he was sorry. I blamed him: ‘Why did you do this? You are not my only child; I have two other children and they are women. If anybody does this to your sisters would you be happy? He said no,” he said.
