Security operatives have arrested a herbalist named Ezekiel, who was found with 11 human bones in Anambra State.

The arrest happened over the weekend in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area, where Ezekiel lives.

A video circulating on social media shows the security forces raiding Ezekiel’s home after receiving a tip-off from whistleblowers. The video also shows various human bones recovered from the residence.

During questioning, Ezekiel admitted the bones were human but claimed they were given to him by a relative from his home state of Ebonyi, where there are ongoing communal clashes. He said he uses these bones to make “high-quality charms” for his clients.

One of the security operatives in the video advised the community to be cautious about whom they rent their houses to and what their tenants do. He praised the whistleblower for providing the crucial information and urged people to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities.

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the arrest and said, “The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. Further details on that will be communicated.”
