Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has said that the arrest of skit maker, DeGeneral, is a waste of taxpayers’ money.

WuzupNigeria reported that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency invaded the home of the skit creator, Sunday Joshua aka DeGeneral in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to an official statement from the agency, DeGeneral admitted to owning tramadol and cannabis, the exhibits seized in his residence.

Reacting to the arrest, Basketmouth, making reference to the mugshot the skit maker took at the NDLEA custody said; “Don’t get me wrong, I’m not supporting the use of marijuana, I don’t do such.

“I’ll never do such a thing but what I’m saying is that you people are wasting tax payers’ money to go and arrest someone with small pinch of ‘igbo’. You just wasted my money now.”
