Why Jibrin believes justice will be served in budget padding case

Former Chairman of the House of Representatives Appropriation Committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin has expressed hope that he will be vindicated in the budget padding saga.

The Rep member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, Kano State, said on Wednesday that he was talking with the a presidential advisory committee on the issue.

“I am now briefing the Prof Itse Segay SAN lead Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption. Slowly but steady justice will be served,” he tweeted.

The budget padding saga began when Jibrin accused Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara and other leaders of the house of introducing funds into the budget for selfish gains.

The lawmaker also accused the speaker of pocketing N25m monthly, amounts he said were never accounted for.
