Media personality, Toolz Oniru, on Wednesday revived an old tweet which sparked a major debate online.

In the tweet, a certain Bayo Adedosu said; “There’s a growing trend amongst Nigerian women these days…..they order Stews, Soups and Jollof they eat at home from vendors. And I mean married women.”

Reacting to the tweet, the mother of two sarcastically said; “OMG Uncle Bayo is this true? I kian’t believe it! What has the world come to??

“Soon married women will get people to do their laundry…and not hand-wash the whole household’s clothes every Saturday!! Horror!

Joining in the discussion, Nigerian columnist and philanthropist, Betty Irabor said; “Don’t mind them Bayo. No respect for their husbands at all. Who knows where I can order better banga soup tonight?

Other celebrities like Nigerian singer Waje and comedian Helen Paul also weighed in.

@officialwaje said; “married women? oh what a shame!!! I even heard they now hire vendors to go to the market, can you imagine? I tried it sha, very very convenient but I’m not married so how dare they seek such ease. The world is truly coming to an end.

@itshelenpaul said; “What a sacrilege? Eh eh…women no longer climb chairs to clean all the fans of the house on Saturdays anymore, because they now use air-conditioning units. Women should learn to use firewood #sarcasm”.
