Barely hours after news broke that Maje Ayida, the estranged husband of media personality, Toke Makinwa, had hired two law firms to stop the sales of her memoir, ‘On Becoming’, Toke has responded to the report.

The popular OAP took to her Instagram account on Friday and wrote, “The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace”.

A message many of her followers believe was a response to Maje’s plan to stop sales of her memoir.

According to another post on her Instagram account, Toke is currently in Ghana to launch the sales of the book in the country, as well as have a Meet and Greet for her fans.

Maje’s lawyers had sent Toke a “letter of demand” dated December 30th 2016, to stop the sales of the book where Toke had written about their relationship, accusing Maje of cheating while they were dating and even after they got married. She also accused him of infecting her with Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).

The legal documents described the book as nothing but “exaggerated fabrication,” adding that it contains “defamatory words”.

She was given seven days upon receipt of the letter to comply with the demands or they’d be forced to seek legal redress. But it can’t be immediately confirmed whether Tokee received the letter.

Things fell apart between Toke and Maje in 2015 after the former discovered that the latter impregnated a lady while they were married.
