Nigerian athlete and world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, has dropped a teaser for her upcoming documentary titled ‘Homecoming’, which will showcase her athletic career and personal struggles.

Amusan made the announcement on Tuesday, revealing that the documentary was produced by sports news studio ATHLST.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Amusan shared her excitement: “Over the past couple of years, I’ve been pouring my heart into a project that shares my journey—the highs, struggles, and everything in between. This is YOUR opportunity to be part of something special.”

The two-minute trailer highlights key moments of Amusan’s career, including her world record-breaking race in Oregon in 2022, where she set a time of 12.12 seconds in the 100m hurdles. The trailer also touches on the challenging period she faced in 2023 when she was provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit, before being cleared by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Amusan, who holds the world record in the women’s 100m hurdles, also holds several other titles. She is the Commonwealth and African champion, and a three-time Diamond League champion in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
