The Police have arrested one 28-year-old woman in Anambra State for allegedly selling her seven-day-old baby for N350,000.

According to reports, Oluchi Mba, who resides in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state, sold the child to raise money to celebrate this year’s Chrismas, which is three months away.

WuzupNaija gathered that woman had boasted that she would have a fun-filled Christmas this year before she was arrested.

“We were together one Sunday and she was boasting about how she would celebrate this year’s Christmas in grand style,” a source said in a The Punch report.

“I told her that it was too early to plan for Christmas now, but she kept on boasting and saying she would want to have fun during the season. I didn’t know she was planning to sell her own child. This is terrible.

It was further learnt that Mba sold the baby to a 55-year-old, Edith Obiakor, of Akudo Street in Nkpor.
