A Nigerian student living in Cyprus has died after jumping from his storied apartment while trying to avoid paying rent.
Wuzupnaija gathered that 21-year-old, Tiombe David Afeah, was trying to escape his landlord who came to demand his rent when he jumped from the balcony of his apartment.
He, however, landed awkwardly and sustained severe head injuries.
Afeah was rushed and admitted to the intensive care unit of the Lefkosa State Hospital where he died on Wednesday, five days after the incident.
WuzupNaija gathered that Afeah had been unable to pay his house rent for a long time and was afraid of being evicted.
Afeah was a student at the Cyprus International University before his death.
