President Bola Tinubu is set to officially open the new Nigeria Police National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja on Wednesday.

A statement on Tuesday from the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on X announced the opening of the facility.

The newly constructed center aims to enhance Nigeria’s ability to combat cybercrime and protect its digital environment.

The NPF-NCCC will focus on investigating cybercrimes, coordinating Nigeria’s cybersecurity strategies, and raising public awareness about online safety.

It is designed to be Nigeria’s top authority on preventing and enforcing laws against cybercrime, using advanced technologies and expert knowledge to protect citizens from online threats.
