Tinubu irks Nigerians with ‘we no dey trust Igbo people’ comment [Video]
Wife of former Governor of Lagos state, Senator Remi Tinubu seems to have broken the hornets’ nest with her election day comment about Igbo people living in Lagos.
The lawmaker representing Lagos Central at the Senate was seen in a video shared online by Punch newspaper telling an Igbo voter at her polling unit that Igbo people can no longer be trusted.
WuzupNaija reports that the former Lagos first lady after casting her votes in the governorship and state assembly elections at Polling Unit 034, Falomo Police Barracks IV, Ikoyi, Lagos started exchanging banters with voters.
While engaging voters she walked up to a disabled man sitting by the roadside and whimsically told him
“the way una (Igbo people) do us that day e good? Now we are one.”
When the man replied the Senator that he voted President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 23 election, Tinubu said
“How I go know say you vote for Buhari… Because Igbo people we no dey trust una again.”
The footage which has gone viral on social media has generated a lot of reactions from social media users expressing their disappointment in the Senator’s comment about Igbo people.
Some went as far as questioning her ordination as an Assistant Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

Why is Remi Tinubu everywhere negotiating with voters as though PU is a market place? You impoverish the people and give them crumbs from the billions you’ve stolen, making is seem as though you were doing them a favor #LagosDecides2019

This is a bad time to be an Igbo man. Harassed at home by pythons, discriminated against outside. Allow them to go and be themselves. No way. THIS IS WITCHCRAFT.

So Remi Tinubu, an RCCG pastor is here stoking the flames of ethnic bigotry, anyway it’s people that still attend that stupid church that I blame, nonsense.

Reedemed Christian Church is a huge disappointment. Check those people they make pastors these days. You only need to have clout to be made pastor, no Integrity or uprightness needed. Some are not even Christians. Remi Tinubu, wife of the Thug Jagaban, is a Pastor in RCCG.

See Senator Remi Tinubu further dividing this nation along ethnic lines.
Shits like this worry me.
I swear.
She is from Delta state and a beneficiary of Nigeria’s integration…
And some stupid APC stalwarts… https://t.co/j5D1mCeLUD— Anazodo Godwin Eche (@Anazodoeche) 9 March 2019
