The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, on Saturday participated in the party’s presidential primary held across the 332 wards in the state.

According to The Punch, the exercise saw party members affirm President Bola Tinubu as the APC candidate for the 2027 presidential election during the peaceful ward based primary.

Oyetola cast his vote at Iragbiji Ward one alongside a large crowd of party supporters, while Oyebamiji participated in the exercise at Ikire Ward nine.

Monitoring across Osogbo and Olorunda Local Government Areas showed that the exercise was conducted peacefully, with members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors serving as ward agents for President Tinubu in many locations.

The second presidential aspirant, Stanley Osifo, reportedly had no visible agents in most of the wards monitored within Osogbo metropolis during the exercise.

Speaking with journalists after the exercise, Osun Renewed Hope Ambassador, Sunday Akere, described the primary as smooth and peaceful across the state.

“The Presidential Primary held in Osun State today went on smoothly without any crisis. The materials from the primary election committee were transported to the various local government and wards on time,” he said.

Akere stated that party members across the 332 wards mobilised massively to support Tinubu’s candidacy for the 2027 election.

He added that the collation process at the state level was being supervised by Oyetola in his capacity as the state collation officer.

“The overwhelming members of the party have shown their belief and loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and they are resolved that he should continue in the second term to lead us to the promised land,” Akere added.
