President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of chairpersons and CEOs for 43 federal agencies and organisations, including the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria and the National Inland Waterways Authority.
This was revealed in a statement issued on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesperson.
The appointees were directed not to interfere with the daily management of the agencies, as their roles are non-executive. All appointments are effective immediately.
Some of the notable appointments include:

- Musa Sarkin Adar as Chairman of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).

- Magnus Abe, a prominent Rivers State politician, as Chairman of the National Agency for the Great Green Wall.

The Secretary for the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board is now Major General Jubril Abdulmalik (Rtd).
This move comes as part of Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership in federal institutions and ensure smooth operations across critical sectors.
The announcement has sparked discussions among Nigerians, with many expressing optimism about the impact of these appointments.
Others, however, are calling for the appointees to focus on transparency and delivering results in their respective roles.
President Tinubu’s administration has emphasized its commitment to fostering growth and efficiency in federal agencies through these appointments.
