Tina Turner excited with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction

American-born singer and actress, Tima Turner, has expressed her excitement after bagging the 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
Turner ousted Nigerian music legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2021 induction as fans gave the American 585,000 ballots against the Afrobeat legend who had more than 545,000 votes.
Widely referred to as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”, the induction is her second after Turner previously bagged an induction with Ike Turner.
Turner, 81, alongside fellow inductee, Carole King, joined Stevie Nicks as the only women to be inducted multiple times.
Reacting to the big news via her verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, the 81-year-old said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame amongst such amazing artists! Thank you for all your continued love and support over the years! Love, Tina”
Meanwhile, Pitchfork reported that the Rock Hall 2021 ceremony is set to take place October 30, 2021, at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
