The Federal Road Safety Corps, Osun State Command, on Saturday, said three people escaped death in an accident that occurred on Gbangan-Ibadan highway.

The Sector Commander, Mr. Paul Okpe, said this in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Mrs. Agnes Ogungbemi, in Osogbo.

Okpe said the accident occured at about 4.10 a.m. (Saturday), around Salam-Salam axis, six kilometres from Sasa Bridge, involving two vehicles.

“A blue truck KJA794XQ had a head collision with a white /red DAF Truck with number plate ABC875ZW, involving three male adults,” said Okpe.

He explained that two of the victims were severely injured and had been taken to Ariremako Hospital, Gbongan.

According to him, the accident occured due to road obstruction and speed violation.

Okpe, however, warned motorists against dangerous driving, stressing that the command would not hesitate to deal with anyone found violating the road traffic act.
