Three escape death as container crushes car in Lagos

Three people escaped death on Sunday when a 40-foot container fell from the Ojuelegba Bridge on a Toyota Corolla car in Lagos.
The incident happened on Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere, inward Stadium.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority said in a statement that the Nigeria Police Force and other emergency responders rescued the occupants of the vehicle.
According to Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofiq, out of the three occupants, only one person came out unhurt and was allowed to go home immediately.
The remaining two sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital by an ambulance belonging to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.
“Policemen from Surulere Police Division were on the scene to provide adequate security while the entire Ojuelegba bridge inwards Stadium was temporarily closed and traffic diverted to the service lane by Lastma as rescue and recovery operations are ongoing,” Taofiq said

LASTMA advised motorists to drive carefully and obey traffic rules and regulations.
