President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday night said that those calling him Baba go slow will know if he is actually slow or fast during his second term.

Buhari said this during a media chat which was aired on Nigerian Television Authority.

He said he would ensure police and judicial reform in his second term in office.

When asked if he will be more ruthless in his second term, he said,

“Those who call me ‘baba go slow’ will see whether I am slow or fast.”

When asked to explain further, he said,

“It means I will persuade the police and the judiciary to be hard and where I uncover that they are not hard, I will find out who is responsible for the slowness in terms of command from the DPO upwards.

“The IG cannot do it alone; he needs to depend on commissioners who in turn depend on DPOs.”

Speaking in an interview with NTA, he said that he was going to make the police and other security agencies move fast.

On his message to Nigerians, he urged them to always expose the criminals in their neighbourhood.

He disclosed that his greatest happiness in the past four years is degrading Boko Haram.

The President also said that his administration is also happy with the economy.

He said much progress has been made in the economy, especially in agriculture.

Asked his greatest frustration, he said that it has to with inability to move faster against corruption.

He said

“We cannot be too much in a hurry.”

The president urged Nigerians to expose criminals in their Neighbourhood.

This, he said, is the trait people knew Nigerians for.

By exposing those bad elements in our communities, Buhari said will aid foreign investments in the country.

“We’ll do our best to equip the security agencies to curb the security lapses in the country,” he said.

He warned the heads of the security agencies to sit up or be shown the way out.
