Veteran Nigerian musician Eedris Abdulkareem has dropped a new diss track that critiques the state of the nation and highlights the ongoing suffering of the people in Nigeria.
The song, titled “Tell Your Papa”, is a direct callout to President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of failing to address the nation’s problems.
In the track, Abdulkareem boldly states that Nigerians are struggling with hunger, claiming that the president has not done enough to alleviate their hardships.
The music star pointed out that the situation has worsened to the point where it is even more dire than before, using the term “worse than Jagajaga” to describe the dire state of affairs.
Additionally, Abdulkareem criticized the president’s promises, labeling them as empty. He also directed a message to Seyi Tinubu, the president’s son, telling him to take the message to his father. In the song, Abdulkareem challenged Seyi Tinubu to experience the struggles of the Nigerian people, particularly by traveling on the country’s roads instead of using private jets. He accused Seyi of being detached from the realities of insecurity and poverty in Nigeria.
A part of the lyrics reads: “Seyi, people are hungry, Tinubu, people are hungry, Seyi, I swear, your papa no try. Take our message to him, try travel by road. You travel on private jet so insecurity is not your problem. Tell your papa country hard, this one pass jagajaga. Too much empty promises. Tell your papa people dey die.”
The video accompanying the diss track also features Abdulkareem daring Seyi Tinubu to face the country’s challenges head-on, as he flies privately while many Nigerians continue to endure hardship.
