THIS GOVERNMENT KNOWS NOTHING! Nigerians react to Shehu Sani’s comments on HSBC damning report

The senator representing Kaduna Central, Mr. Shehu Sani, has raised a storm on Twitter after making an “HSBC” post via his handle, @ShehuSani.

The HSBC had in a report said the second term of President Muhammadu Buhari would stunt Nigeria’s economy.

Not one to shy away from controversy, Mr. Sani had in a reaction to HSBC damning report on Nigeria wrote that

“HSBC is angry that African Heads of States are now going to the Chinese restaurant and stopped going to the Mc Donald’s and KFC”.

He further added that the

“HSBC’s scowling meddling into Nigeria’s political discourse is an envious response to the PMB’s Government tilt to China. They used to be the elites favorite, now jilted and then the scorn of a jilted ‘friend’. HSBC should clean its lavatory before lecturing us on hygiene. We should expect more of this intestinal convulsions for choosing to eat Guandong Cuisine instead of Pasta.

Mr. Sani’s post had generated mixed reactions on Twitter, with many, including a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, reminding the lawmaker that HSBC means Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and thus have Asian menu.

One Twitter user, Ade Adeniyi/@ade783, concluded that the present crop of people running Nigeria’s affairs knows nothing.
