Olawale Ojo, the winner of the 2013 MTN Project fame, has explained why he became a cab driver in Lagos after winning N5,000,000 and a brand new SUV
Ojo said he became a cab driver to beat depression and had the option of giving the car to someone else to drive for him but didn’t.
Ojo said it hit him that life is not a bed of roses adding that things were just not playing out the way he expected.
He said he felt he needed to learn that success should not be trivialised and going by some people’s success story he has no regrets.
Ojo said there is nothing to be ashamed of because there are big celebrities that have recounted how they had to sleep under the bridge when all was not well.
This is coming after a viral video that revealed that the reality star is unashamedly trying to make ends meet and doing it in an honourable way.

Ojo made these revelations while answering questions on Rubbin Minds with the host, Ebuka Obi Uchendu and a Big Brother Naija reality star, Ifu Ennada.
He further revealed that he has been into the cab driving business for “Couple of months in Lagos.”
However, Ojo regretted that life hit at him hard despite making attempts to release an album in 2014 where he featured Tiwa Savage, Skales and Lil Kesh.
He also admitted to not having a concrete plan which eventually led him to see the reality of having to hustle to remain relevant.
He said;
“I won an SUV, N5m and a recording contract. Personally, I thought from Project Fame, I was going to blow up like that. That was what everybody expected.
“I put up an album after the show in 2014 and that was part of the contract. I featured Tiwa Savage, Skales and Lil Kesh in the album. I shot two videos.
“Everything just started playing out like that. It got to a stage when life hit me. Things were not working out the way I thought.”
