A criminal gang has been nabbed in Osun State after one of their members masterminded the kidnap of his father.
Wuzup Naija gathered that one 27-year-old herdsman, Isa Ibrahim, had allegedly planned the abduction of his 55-year-old father, Adamu Ibrahim, with his gang.
The man was decapitated and his heart was stolen by one of the kidnappers.
The Osun State’s Commissioner of Police, Fimihan Adeoye, who paraded the suspects in Osogbo, the state capital, said the gang killed the 55-year-old and still collected a ransom of N3 million from the family.

The son got N45,000 from the ransom collected by the gang.
After his murder, the suspects allegedly buried the deceased in a shallow grave near a river in Owode. The corpse is believed to have been washed away by torrents.
He said,
“The boy organised the kidnap of his 55 years old father by a gang of kidnappers at Owode Ede. It happened on April 17, 2018 and the police swung into action following which one Jola Anobi was apprehended and charged to court. The suspect was eventually released on bail and we continued with our investigation.
“We have arrested three more suspects that carried out the offences. The son of the victim arranged the kidnapped of his father who was eventually killed and buried near a river. The remains of the man might have been washed away. The suspects collected N3 million after the man had been killed.
” The son said that the kidnappers promised him N500,000 but was eventually given N45,000. So, for N45,000, he sold his father for N45,000. The suspect who was initially charged to court and granted bail has jumped bail now.”
A suspect, identified as Lateef Bello, who was a friend of the deceased, said the man was not intentionally killed but he was pushed and he hit his head against the wall.

Bello said,
“After the kidnap, the deceased removed the hood put on his face and he was able to identify some of the kidnappers. Some of the Togolese recruited for the kidnap started pushing the man until he hit his head against the wall.”
He said he later realised that he needed the victim’s heart after he had died and he removed and it was gathered that the corpse was also beheaded.
The man’s son also said that he did not ask the gang to kill his father despite that he had a quarrel with his later father.
He said,
“My father woke up one day and started beating me with a rod. He said I did not wait up early. I ran out and he said I should never come in again. He threw out my things and I asked my younger brother to help pack my belongings.
