Popular fuji musician, Pasuma, has spoken for the first time after he was attacked by suspected thugs in Ikire, Osun State.

The attack happened last Sunday when the music star visited Ikire, a well-known town in Irewole Local Government Area, for a performance. A video shared online showed damage to his convoy, with voices in the background shouting, *“We have been attacked in Ikire. They carry guns and shoot us, see Pasuma’s car. But God dey.”*

The video quickly went viral and caused concern among fans and the public.

However, Pasuma has now cleared the air. During a recent live performance, the fuji star explained what really happened.

“About what happened in Ikire, I have so many committed fans in Ikire,” he said. “But there’s no town without such elements (thugs).”

He went on to explain that the show had drawn a massive crowd.

“The person who invited me to perform did so at a hall in Ikire, but the crowd was more than half of the whole town,” he said. “They all came out to see me physically. Because of the large numbers, a screen TV was placed outside the hall, but they refused to watch on the screen.”

According to him, trouble started when security officers stopped more people from entering the hall due to overcrowding.

“When the security prevented them from entering, the bad boys among them started stoning,” Pasuma said. “It was the stone that broke my car’s windscreen—my Hilux and Hummer bus. There was no shooting.”

The fuji legend used the moment to thank his fans for their support and urged people not to spread false stories.

The singer is safe and has since continued his performances.
