There is nothing we can do, DPO allegedly tells owner of vandalized shop
A Nigerian man identified as Timidayo Daniel Adebowale has taken to social media to cry out about police officers’ response to a robbery incident.
The man shared his story in a series of posts on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter.
In his tweets, he explained that he got a call from his aunt.
He said his aunt was crying on the phone when she told him that her shop was robbed and about 85% of her goods were taken.
The man, who shared photos of the robbed shop, noted that his aunt has not been going to shop due to the lockdown and she was recently called that the shop was robbed.
He said his aunt went to the police station that is just two shops away from her own to report the case.
According to him, they told her that they cannot be everywhere at once.
Adebowale added that the Divisional Police Officer later inspected the shop and told his aunt that there is nothing they can do about the robbery.
