Singer and entrepreneur, Reprudencia Sonkey, popularly known as Dencia, has announced that the average Nigerian cannot buy her Whitenicious skin lightening cream which costs $250 (90,812.50.)

She said the target audience is for people who can afford it further stressing that it’s a luxury, not a necessity.

Recall that over the weekend Dencia and American celebrity, Blac Chyna launched her Whitenicious cream in Lagos State.

Also in attendance was the popular crossdresser, Bobrisky.

Speaking to Broadway TV at the launch of the product, Dencia said;

“They have a choice. It’s not a necessity, it’s a luxury.

“The average Nigerian cannot buy it. So, it’s for people that need it and can afford it”.

“If you don’t have $250 you cant’ buy it…”

Meanwhile, some celebrities also expressed their displeasure over the launch of the cream in Nigeria.

Celebrities like Super Eagles footballer, Leon Balogun, and Burna Boy, urged Nigerian ladies to embrace their colour and love their skin.

Burna shared a photo of the invite on his Insta stories and asked the reality star not to come to Nigeria to sell her “poison.”

“Ladies, your black is beautiful!” the singer shared.

Laon Balogun also tweeted;

“Shoutout to @chakabars for drawing attention ✊?Lagos, DO NOT support @BLACCHYNA & her nonsense.

“They only want to make profit on a false beauty ideal that is forced upon You.

“You are beautiful the way You are. Black is beautiful. Wear Your skin like a crown #LoveYourMelanin.”
