The wives and four daughters of the Sarkin Hausawa of Anguwar Azara, Mallam Ibrahim Tanko, have been abducted by terrorists in Jere, along the Abuja-Kaduna Highway, Kaduna State.
Daily Trust reports that the traditional ruler who confirmed the incident said his family members were taken by the bandits on Tuesday.
He gave the names of his kidnapped wives as Maimuna Ibrahim and Hauwawu Ibrahim while those of his abducted daughters as Aisha Ibrahim, Farida Ibrahim, Zainab Ibrahim and Hussaina Ibrahim.
According to him, the bandits later set free Hauwawu, who was his senior wife, when they discovered that she was suffering from high blood pressure.
He said the bandits, who wielded sophisticated weapons, invaded his house around 11:52 pm on Tuesday.
He said he managed to escape using one of the exit doors.
