Terrorism charge: IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu appears in Court
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, whose trial commences today, has appeared before Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
The lead counsel for the leader of the IPOB, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, on Tuesday unveiled Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) as the lead counsel for the defense of Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu arrived the Court around 7am amidst tight security as operatives of the Department of State Services got busy with frisking journalists and lawyers.
“Yes, I’m now in the legal team and that’s why you’re seeing me in Court,” Ozekhome said.
As of the time of this report, the Court had yet to commence sitting.
