The former governor of Califonia and veteran actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has undergone emergency open-heart surgery.
TMZ reports that the 70-year-old actor underwent the medical procedure on Thursday.
It said Schwarzenegger was scheduled to have a catheter valve replacement when he developed complications in a procedure that could have helped him avoid open-heart surgery.
The doctors at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles quickly decided to commence an emergency open-heart operation on him because of the complications that arose during the initial procedure.
Schwarzenegger who was reportedly in theatre for several hours is now in a stable condition.
