Nigerian music star Tems has been announced as one of the headline performers for the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup Final Halftime Show, set to take place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the MetLife Stadium in New York, USA.

Tems will join global stars J Balvin and Doja Cat on stage for the historic performance, which will be broadcast live and free around the world on DAZN.com. The show is part of FIFA’s new partnership with Global Citizen to support education for children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

“We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment – to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children,” Tems said. “I can’t wait – see you at the FIFA Club World Cup final!”

This marks another major international performance for the Nigerian singer, who had previously performed at the Global Citizen Festival in Ghana in 2022.

The halftime show is being curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay, who also helps lead Global Citizen’s music projects. The event aims to raise $100 million to support access to quality education and football for children around the world.

“One dollar from every ticket sold will go to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino explained. “Together we are going to make history. FIFA and Global Citizen are working to give every child the chance to learn, play, and dream.”

Hugh Evans, Co-Founder and CEO of Global Citizen, added, “We can’t end extreme poverty without education. With FIFA, we’re using football and music to raise funds and bring real change to millions of lives.”

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which runs from June 14 to July 13, will feature 32 top club teams from around the world, playing across 12 venues in 11 cities in the United States. It is expected to become the most watched club football tournament in history.
