The couple, who had their court wedding in Monaco, traditional wedding in Dubai, and white wedding in Iceland, had earlier released exclusive photos to Vogue Magazine. Their celebrations featured performances from Juju legend King Sunny Ade and American RnB star John Legend.

Reactions quickly followed Temi’s decision. One user, king_otega, wrote, “Poor man daughter go say she must keep her papa name o.” Another, whitneylinda6, said, “She should have simply just added his name to her own surname than removing it.”

Others praised her choice. madaniella1 commented, “This is called happily married, she’s happy to be married.” lucas_ugoh added, “When a woman genuinely loves a man she respect and honor him.”

Some users highlighted the contrast between her choice and what ordinary Nigerians often argue about. realbiniboy wrote, “Billions daughter changes her name but that poor man daughter they say her papa name must remain.”

Another user, skillful_tailor, described her as “Classic. Elegant. Unapologetically different.”

While debates continue, many fans congratulated the new bride. rejoice.johnson.12 noted, “So if I marry make I still dey answer my papa name eeee Nigerians.”
