The Transmission Company of Nigeria has said there will be another three-day power disruption in parts of Lagos.

The agency explained that the outage is due to planned maintenance on the Aja to Alagbon 330 kV transmission line. The work will take place from November 26 to November 29, 2025.

TCN’s spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah, made this known in a notice on Friday.

The maintenance will affect areas under the Eko Electricity Distribution Company in Lagos South and parts of Ogun State. The affected areas include Ojo, Festac, Ijora, Mushin, Orile, Apapa, Lekki, Ibeju, Lagos Island, Ajele and Agbara.

TCN said, “Scheduled maintenance will be carried out on the Aja to Alagbon 330 kV transmission line from November 26 to 29, 2025, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.

“The work will allow the contractor to install wave traps on the line bays at the Aja and Alagbon Transmission Substations in Lagos State. During this period, supply from the Alagbon Substation will be diverted to the Ijora 132 kV line, while supply to the Akoka and Oworo Transmission Substations will be diverted to the Ikeja West 132 kV line.

“There will be a brief load disruption due to the diversion on the affected lines, but the areas will still receive normal power supply during the maintenance window.

“TCN regrets the inconvenience this may cause electricity consumers within the Eko Disco franchise and appeals for understanding. The exercise is part of ongoing efforts to improve the reliability and efficiency of transmission infrastructure in Lagos State.”

Parts of Lagos also experienced blackouts in July and October this year due to similar TCN maintenance work.
