A tanker accident which led to an explosion in Magboro area of Ogun State has caused heavy traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday.

The fire from the explosion was put out by firefighters who arrived early to prevent further escalation.

The traffic gridlock generated as a result of the incident forced many commuters to take to trekking.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has advised motorists to find alternative routes to get to their destination.
