Nigeria’s hopes of getting Chelsea duo Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori to play for the Super Eagles appear to be over as the players have been named in England squad by the national team coach Gareth Southgate.

While Tottenham’s Dele Alli was left out of the England squad that will face Czech Republic and Bulgaria in the European Qualifiers, Abraham and Tomori earned call-ups

Despite having earned two senior England caps in friendlies with Germany and Brazil in November 2017, Abraham is still eligible to play for Nigeria. His inclusion in the squad seems to pledge his allegiance to England.
