The spokeman for the Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid, has revealed that girls will be allowed back in school ‘as soon as possible’.
Mujahid made the revelation on Tuesday morning during a press conference in the Afghan capital of Kabul.
CGTN reports that is Mujahid’s first meeting with reporters since the unveiling of key members of the interim Taliban government on September 7.
Meanwhile, AFP reports that the Taliban spokesman has excluded ‘women’s ministry’ while announcing the remaining cabinet members during the conference.
