Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Natasha Akinde, popularly known as Tacha, has criticized Nigerian clergyman Paul Adefarasin for labeling a content creator as “aggressive” in connection with a recent viral video incident.

Recall that Adefarasin addressed the controversy during a Sunday sermon streamed live on his church’s official YouTube channel.

He described the accusations that he was seen with a firearm in the video as “false, hurtful,” and driven by “clickbaiters just looking for money.”

The pastor maintained that he has never owned, licensed, or pointed a firearm at anyone, calling the situation an attack on his character.

He further explained that the encounter occurred on a Saturday, which he observes as a Sabbath, and described the content creator as “aggressive” for invading his personal space.

Responding to his remarks in a post on 𝕏, Tacha called the pastor’s statement “gaslighting,” asserting that this type of behaviour is commonly seen among Nigerian pastors within the country, but rarely displayed abroad.

She added that if the incident had involved someone like Seyi Tinubu, the President’s son, or the son of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, the reaction on Nigeria’s 𝕏 space would have been far more intense.
