Switzerland wrapped up their final EURO 2020 Group A match with a 3-1 victory over Turkey at the Baku Olympic Stadium on Sunday.

Liverpool midfielder, Xherdan Shaqiri, scored twice in both halves to hole Switzerland secure a third-place finish, with the hopes that their four points will be enough to see them progress to the knockout stages.

Haris Seferović gave the Swiss the lead six minutes into the match before Shaqiri doubled the lead in the 26th-minute to leave the Turks trailing by two goals at the break.

İrfan Kahveci pulled some back for Turkey just after the hour mark but Shaqiri grabbed his brace six minutes later to seal a 3-1 win for the Swiss who fell behind second-placed Wales in Group A.
