Reports reaching us indicate that a pregnant teenager, identified as Ada Amah, and one Mini Elizabeth, both from Rumuoro village, in Ogbakiri, were among the four persons reportedly killed by suspected ritualists at Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Reports said the female victims were kidnapped by the gunmen before they were killed in the bush on Wednesday.
The pregnant teenager was reportedly hacked to death, while her unborn baby was cut out of her womb and taken away for alleged ritual purposes.
The Punch reports that the other victim, a pastor, identified as, Joseph Iheme, was shot dead by the attackers beside a river where he had gone fishing.
The other victim whose name was given as, Kingsley Owhonda, who was also at the river to fish, was kidnapped and hacked to death with a machete in a bush.
However, the cleric’s son, Godknows Iheme, who was within the area where his father was murdered, managed to escape unhurt.
A source, who didn’t want to be named said the sad incident happened in Rumuoro village, adding that Amah and Elizabeth were at the river to fetch water when the assailants struck.
The state’s spokesman, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, said only one person was killed in the attack, noting that investigation had commenced to arrest and bring the perpetrators to book.
