A yet to be identified woman was on Thursday shot in the hand by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen at Naka in Gwer Local Government Area of Benue State.
The victim who is said to be a newlywed woman from Plateau State was travelling to Naka for the first time to meet her husband’s family when the incident occurred.
Reports said the gunmen on sighting the commercial vehicle conveying her and other passengers, opened fire on them.
One of the passengers died on the spot while the bullet hit the woman in her hand.
