Chioma, the sibling of Chidinma Ojukwu who allegedly killed SuperTV CEO, Usifo Ataga, says the suspect has started smoking from a tender age.

Chioma disclosed that the 300 level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos was first caught by the mother smoking at the age of 11.

WuzupNigeria reported that Chidinma confessed to stabbing Ataga to death while they were in a Service apartment in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

Chioma had told detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department that they lost their father when Chidinma was barely two years old.

According to Vanguard, trouble started after their mum remarried and brought her children under the same roof as their stepfather.

It didn’t take long before the woman noticed some changes in the lifestyle of young Chidinma.

Chioma noted that their mother stumbled on her sister smoking when she was barely 11 years, an act that she said they found disturbing.

She stated that the mother continued to berate the teenager until she decided that she had had enough.

Chidinma was said to have moved out to stay with an uncle in Mushin.

It was at this point that she met her current guardian, Mr Onoh Ojukwu, who took her into his Alagomeji abode in Yaba, from where she was arrested for the murder of Ataga last Wednesday.
