The Super Eagles have revised their friendly match plans, opting to face Guinea instead of Burkina Faso in preparation for the 2023 AFCON.

The Nigeria Football Federation successfully reached an agreement with their Guinean counterparts, and the warm-up clash is now set to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on January 9.

The Super Eagles and Guinea’s Syli Nationale are conducting pre-tournament preparations in Abu Dhabi.

This friendly encounter aims to fine-tune the teams before the AFCON kicks off, providing valuable match practice and assessment opportunities for the coaching staff.

Following the friendly fixture, the Super Eagles are scheduled to fly back to Nigeria the next day before embarking on their journey to Abidjan.

The first official AFCON match for the Super Eagles is slated for Sunday, January 14, against Equatorial Guinea.

This adjustment in the friendly schedule underscores the meticulous planning and adaptability of the Nigerian team as they gear up for the continental football extravaganza.
