Super Eagles preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will commence in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday.
The majority of the 25-player squad will converge in the Asian country from various European bases.
Notably, Samuel Chukwueze, Francis Uzoho, William Troost-Ekong, and Umar Sadiq will join the camp on Wednesday after receiving permission from the Nigeria Football Federation to fulfill club commitments.
During their one-week stay in Abu Dhabi, the Super Eagles will fine-tune strategies ahead of the AFCON finals.
The team, led by Jose Peseiro, is scheduled to return to Lagos on January 10 before heading to Abidjan on the same day for the competition.
Drawn into Group A with hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau, the three-time African champions will kick off their campaign against Equatorial Guinea on January 14 at the Alssanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan.
Subsequently, they will face hosts Cote d’Ivoire four days later, concluding the group stage against Guinea-Bissau on January 22.
