Super Eagles camp bubble in Abuja with arrival of foreign based players

The Super Eagles camp in Abuja is bubbling with the arrival of no fewer than 12 foreign based players for Sunday’s 2018 World Cup Qualifiers away to Zambia.

Coach Gernot Rohr had invited 23 players for the tie.

Some of the players in the Bolton White Apartment in Abuja as at Monday’s night were Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Musa Muhammed, Carl Ikeme, Elderson Echiejile, Emmanuel Daniel and Ogenyi Onazi.

Others are Jamiu Alimi, Uche Agbo, Chisom Egbuchulam, Nosa Igiebor, Kenneth Omeruo and William Troost Ekong.

Meanwhile, the trio of Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and John Obi Mikel are expected to join the lads in camp on Tuesday as they are understood to have arrived the country from England.

The team are scheduled to have their first training session 10am Tuesday and evening session by 4pm at the Abuja National Stadium.

On the other hand, France-based coach Rohr and two of his technical assistants had arrived Abuja on Sunday. The trio jetted into town aboard an Air France flight.

 

He was accompanied by Jean Royer, a technical assistant, and Nabil Trabelsi, video analyst.

The Nigeria delegation are expected to depart for Ndola by chartered flight on Friday.

The Zambia Vs Nigeria will take place at the Levy Nwanawasa Stadium at 2.30pm Zambia time (1.30pm Nigeria) on Sunday.
