Stella Damasus ‘lied’ about discovering divorce on YouTube – Ex-husband

Filmmaker Daniel Ademinokan, and former husband of Nollywood actress Stella Damasus, has broken his silence following her recent public comments regarding their divorce.

In a resurfaced interview with Teju Babyface, Damasus alleged she discovered their divorce through YouTube.

“I pride myself in being a very respectable person, a lot of things were said about me on YouTube. That is how I found out that my marriage had ended, on YouTube,” she said.

He has challenged her account, stating that her version of how their marriage ended is inaccurate.

Taking to social media, Ademinokan shared what he claimed to be a 2021 email from Stella Damasus in which she asked for his address to send divorce papers.

This, he argued, contradicts her claim that she found out about the divorce online.

He further explained that his decision to walk away from the marriage was to protect his peace and, more importantly, that of his son. He alleged that there were instances of physical abuse against the child during their time together, which ultimately influenced his departure.

“I usually don’t dignify nonsense with a response, but when silence gets mistaken for ignorance or guilt, it’s only fair to offer a quick 5-minute reality check. Today’s your lucky day,” he said.

He continued, “Dear queen mother, five years since the separation, three since the divorce. Still, you just can’t let go. I’ve said nothing. I’ve seen nothing. I’ve done nothing, since 2020. But somehow, I’m still living rent-free in your narrative.

” You claimed I signed and sent you the divorce papers that you were not aware of. Another lie. Quick reality check. Who filed for divorce?” he asked.

“You do realize that’s public record, right? But don’t worry, I’ll post the receipts. A little reminder, just in case selective memory is setting in.”

Continuing in a firm tone, he added:
“Let me say this clearly, Na the beginning of fight person dey know. Nobody dey know how e go end end.”

Ademinokan made it clear he wishes to be left out of any further controversy, stating his preference for a quiet life.

“Let me be, just as I have left you in peace. I’ve chosen a more private life, so don’t drag me into your soap opera. You’ve had your five minutes from me. Over and out,” he concluded.

The exchange has stirred discussions online, with many weighing in on the new claims and the increasingly public nature of the former couple’s fallout.
