Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign Brazilian winger Savinho for £75 million, with a further £10 million available in potential add-ons .
The 22-year-old will now undergo a medical before signing a long-term contract with Spurs, according to reports from BBC Sport . The move has been more than 12 months in the making, with Tottenham having failed in an attempt to sign the winger last summer. Savinho opted to remain at the Etihad Stadium but made just seven Premier League starts under Pep Guardiola last season .
Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi has already spent heavily this summer, investing £185 million on midfielders Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle . Savinho’s arrival will push Spurs’ summer spending beyond £300 million, although the club have recouped around £140 million through the sales of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic .
Spurs are unlikely to end their spending here, with talks for Savinho’s City teammate Omar Marmoush progressing positively . The Egypt forward, who joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million in 2025, fell down the pecking order last season . Spurs also remain interested in Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, though it is unclear whether they could finance a deal for the Netherlands international alongside moves for Marmoush and Savinho .
Tottenham begin their Premier League campaign away to Brentford on Saturday, while Manchester City host Bournemouth on Sunday .
