JUST IN: Kamaru Usman beats Colby Covington to keep UFC welterweight championship
Mixed Martial Arts Welterweight Champion, Kamaru Usman has defeated Colby Covingtonon Sunday morning to retain his belt.
No. 1 ranked welterweight champ, Usman, squared up for a rematch against No. 2 ranked welterweight Covington at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The Nigerian Nightmare won the UFC 268 main event via unanimous decision (48-47, 48-7, 49-46) after five rounds.
Uman had previously defeated Covington via a fifth-round TKO in their first meeting in December 2019, ending his opponent’s seven-fight winning streak with a jaw-breaking punch.
