Nigeria's Under 20 women football team, the Falconets defeated Cameroon 3-0 to move one step closer to securing qualification for the 2022 World Cup.
Christopher Danjuma's Falconets made light work of their Cameroonian counterparts 3-0 in the second leg clash at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, for a 3-0 aggregate victory.
Midfielder Esther Onyenezide opened the scoring for Danjuma's side after 22 minutes before Precious Vincent doubled the lead eight minutes before the break.
Onyenezide gave the Falconets a 3-0 lead in the 73rd minute to complete her brace, sending the young Lionesses back home devastated.
Josephine Mike Doumou's side will not be part of the three teams that will represent Africa at the 2022 U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica.
Meanwhile, the Falconets have advanced to the fifth and final round of African Qualifiers.
Danjuma's side will face the winner of the Morocco-Senegal fixture in a two-legged affair next month for a slot at Costa Rica 2022 in August.
