Cristiano Ronaldo’s second full Manchester United debut could be delayed due to COVID-19 quarantine.

Upon reuniting with the Red Devils, the 36-year-old is expected isolate for five days in his Cheshire mansion, reducing him to just one day’s training with his teammates after the period.

As such, UK Sun reports that United fans could have to wait until next Tuesday for his second full debut.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is unlikely to star him for Saturday’s home game against Newcastle but the former Juventus star will be on the bench.

The Norwegian might be tempted to give hi few minutes against The Cherries but he can expect a start in United’s Champions League away trip to Switzerland next Tuesday (14 September) when they take on BSC Young Boys in Bern.

Even without the Covid restrictions, the international break would have restricted Solskjaer to just Friday to integrate Ronaldo into the side.

However, fans will still be able to welcome him back to Old Trafford with the player expected to make a solo walk to the centre circle before kick-off after being announced to the crowd.

Meanwhile, new signing Jadon Sancho who missed England’s World Cup Qualifiers due to a slight knock could be fit for selection against Newcastle on Saturday.
