Jesse Lingard netted United's opener three minutes into the game after Mason Greenwood played a fine pass that Facundo Pellistri who then teed up the England international.
But the lead did not last long as Charlie Austin equalised four minutes after to end the first half levelled.
Substitute, Anthony Elanga pulled one back in the 73rd minute but Solskjaer's men lacked the composure to pull a comeback in the game.
The Premier League side were then mocked by QPR fans chanting "Can we play you every week?" and "Ole's at the wheel" during a stunning pre-season friendly on Saturday.
